Peak Body Hub Treatments
Our services utilise a wide range of evidence-based treatments and skills to deliver a tailor-made treatment just for you.

We are skillfully trained to assist and aid in injury prevention, exercise/rehabilitation, sports massage, neuro assessment, neuro treatment, musculoskeletal assessments, and early intervention/management of acute and chronic pain conditions.
Results are rarely provided by one technique alone, they are produced when a skilled therapist combines multiple modalities for the individual's unique presentation. We provide this.
Advanced remedial massage or
Myotherapy
The most common type of massage
What treatments/skills do we use for our clients?
-
Trigger point therapy - very specific muscle therapy to release hyperirritable nodules within the muscle
-
Myofascial release - soft tissue therapy that helps regain full range of motion
-
Nerve mobilisation/ flossing
-
PNF stretching (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching)
-
Deep tissue therapy and and therapeutic massage - massage techniques that involve treating muscle beyond the top layer
-
Scar release
Nervous system assessment
Have you tried every treatment with no results?
Feeling worse after every treatment?
Have chronic pain symptoms and over sensitive skin in places? Your nervous system is most likely at fault.
It is possible to assess the nervous system and treat in a pain free manor. Here we do this by using assessment techniques such as nerve tensioner tests, muscle testing, reflex testing, myotome testing. These results can show whether it is at a spinal level or peripheral level. From there we introduce other modalities that can aid in relief.

A nerve system assessment can help with:
-
Alidina and Hyperalgesia (ultra skin sensitivity)
-
Numbness
-
Motor control / Body control
-
Chronic pain
-
Consistent itch
-
Unexplained pain
-
Stress
-
Chronic fatigue
-
Nerve pain
-
Burning
Cupping therapy
Cupping is an ancient Chinese therapy where a cup is applied to the skin while the air pressure in the cup is reduced (by heat or suction). This causes the superficial muscles and Fascia to draw up into the cup.
At times it is more beneficial to leave the cups in the one spot in order to treat specific muscles but in some cases cup gliding will be used which involves gliding the cup back and forth on the effected body area.
What are the benefits of cupping?
-
Increase in blood flow
-
Soft tissue manipulation
-
Joint function
-
Releasing hypertonic muscles
-
Muscular pain relief
-
Relaxation
Dry needling
Dry needling is an effective and safe treatment that entails the use of ultra-thin needles that are similar in size to the ones used in acupuncture.
Your therapist will assess you and find a hyper irritable muscle nodule (trigger point) within the muscle belly that is most likely to be causing your pain/stiffness.
Your therapist will then strategically and carefully glide the needle into the effected area which will often cause a muscle twitch thus creating the body's natural muscular release/healing response.
Dry needling is useful for
-
Increasing blood flow.
-
Chronic muscle tension that resists manual therapy
-
Reducing fascial dysfunction
-
Deactivating trigger points
-
Reducing muscular pain
-
Increasing mobility
-
Reducing joint pain
-
Promoting the body's natural healing abilities
Spinal manual therapy
Spinal manual therapy is the assessment and treatment of the spine to help restore optimal health.
The spine being the centre of the nervous system has the ability to cause pain anywhere in the body. The cause of pain is not often where the pain is located. It is common for limb, hand or foot pain to be caused by spine disfunction.
Joint disfunction on a spinal level can cause debilitating pain, weakness, numbness and even lack of mobility. Spinal manual therapy can locate the segmental level that is causing the symptom/symptoms and help to restore optimal health.
Spinal manual therapy is useful for
-
Compression neuropathy (nerve impingement)
-
Peripheral nerve sensitisation (nerve pain)
-
Lower back pain
-
Sciatic nerve pain
-
Numbness
-
Gaining mobility / joint function
-
Facet joint pain
-
Posture correction.
-
Back pain
-
Limb pain
Exercise rehabilitation
Rehabilitation is applied to restore function to the greatest degree in the shortest time, helping people return to their best with minimal risk of re-injury.
Rest is very rarely the best option when recovering from an injury and the science now backs this again and again.
Rehab exercises will help you gain strength, stability and connection while assisting in pain management.
By doing this you can gain confidence in your body's ability to perform again and live a higher quality of life.

After your treatment, our therapist will guide you through the exercises best suited to your body and getting back to peak performance.
